On Hotel Hell, celeb chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay visits The Brick Hotel in Newtown, Pennsylvania. The 14-room hotel, which his set in a building dating from the 18th century, is located just three miles from Core Creek Park, a popular place for boating and picnicking, and just six miles from Washington Crossing Historic Park.
When Bucks Local News announced that Hotel Hell was coming to The Brick Hotel, three former Brick Hotel employees left comments. Former executive sous chef John Alexander called the mother/son owners, Verindar and CJ Jouhal, “whacko.” Former bartender Lynn Slezak said she worked at The Brick for three weeks “and did not get paid.” Slezak says Verandar “will not take my calls and lied to me in person that she would figure out my pay and get back to me that has not happened yet.” Former server Janna, who worked there for six months, chimed in: “she [Verandar] goes through employees so fast because she runs an awful operation. She doesn’t pay people what they work for and she’s crazy.” Hotel Hell airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
