Rapper French Montana says Drake owes him $60,000 because he “ain’t believe in LeBron.” Yup, Drake’s fealty to the Toronto Raptors (he’s a team ambassador) and the Eastern Conference in general wasn’t enough to keep him off the Warriors bandwagon, according to Montana, who seems pretty chill about collecting. James earned his title as King with an NBA Finals MVP as the Cavaliers toppled the Warriors in a riveting Game 7 in Oakland. For in Drake’s income bracket, $60,000 isn’t a fortune. (Fellow one-percenter golfer Phil Mickelson might bet that on a 7th grade volleyball game.) But when word gets to LeBron James — and it surely will thanks to Montana’s Instagram — it’ll cost Drake a little bit more in ribbing and hoops cred than money, it seems likely. Who’s the MVP now? LeBron might ask Drake, as his performance has been rhetorically asking everyone.
