On the West Texas Investors Club episode “The Last Pitcher Show,” two pretty mompreneurs from Utah, Betsy and Angie, pitch their business Beddy’s to Rooster McConaughey and Butch Gilliam. Beddy’s is a fashionable line of bedding – one set includes a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a blanket and quilt – that comes with a zipper. Having all the bedding connected makes getting into bed and changing the sets easier and more fun. On West Texas Investors Club, Betsy and Angie are proud to report that Beddy’s made $1.8 million last year but Butch tells them “you’re far from being a successful company yet.”
One of the big hurdles for Beddy’s is the competition. While Beddy’s Sets – available in king, queen, full and twin — sell for $259 on the company website and Toddler Bed Sets sell for $129, ZipIt Bedding sells sets for half the price. West Texas Investors Club airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
