On the Modern Family episode “Crazy Train,” Manny convinces the whole family to take the train to Dede’s (Shelley Long) wedding. During the trip, Dede’s children Claire (Julie Bowen) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) try their best to come up with an appropriate toast for their mother’s second marriage while their spouses, Phil (Ty Burrell) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet), are tickled pink to discover one of their favorite writers is a passenger on the train. Yes, it gets embarrassing.
