Aaron Marino is the well-groomed, loquacious founder of Alpha M Project, a lifestyle/fashion/grooming/fitness advice program to help men boost their self-confidence. He’s pitching his new product, Pete & Pedro, on Shark Tank on May 20. He’s familiar because he appeared on Shark Tank season 4 pitching his Alpha M Style System — but none of the Sharks bit. “I sold like one of these [the Alpha M Style System DVD] the night the show aired.” In his words, “I totally bombed.”

Four days prior to the airing of his second appearance on Shark Tank, Marino made a 6-minute video about how hard it was for him to keep the secret (of not telling anyone that he’ll be on Shark Tank again). “It’s been almost a year [since he filmed the episode], and from that time, I’ve had to like zip it, or else I could be sued.” He says with a smile. “And I didn’t want that to happen.” Maybe Marino is a “glutton for punishment” as he says. Or maybe he’s just a persevering salesman with a new product that has legs. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
