Dave Weiss and Ann Crady Weiss are the married entrepreneurs behind Hatch Baby. It’s a smart changing table that works with an app to monitor a baby’s weight, how long the baby sleeps (or doesn’t sleep), and how often the little eats and poops, among other things that parents of newborns worry about. They pitched their business on Shark Tank in January 2016 and made a deal with guest Shark Chris Sacca ($250,000 for 25 percent equity).
Hatch Baby is available on the company website and on Amazon for $249 (see above), where 34 have been posted. Of the 34 reviews, 97% are 5 star reviews. There is just one 3 star review. It was written by Cherie Tan who said she returned her Hatch Baby because “It was giving me so much anxiety.”
