Dave Hegarty is the San Francisco entrepreneur behind Fixed, an app designed to “fix” traffic tickets. With a smartphone, you take a photo of the ticket, answer a couple of question and then submit it. Fixed then connects each user to a lawyer in the Fixed network. You can hire that attorney to represent you for as little as $150, and without having to physically go to court. Hegarty pitched his business on Shark Tank in January 2016 and made a deal with Mark Cuban ($700k for 7 percent equity).

Since Shark Tank, Fixed continues to build “a pipeline to expand to all 50 states.” Fixed is currently looking for attorneys to work with, in these particular states/counties: California (Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Diego, Contra Costa Counties); Illinois (Cook and Chicago counties); and all counties in Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Michigan. Note: If you successfully refer an attorney, you’ll receive a $100 gift card “to any store of your choice.”
