New Jersey voters really don’t want Gov. Chris Christie to be Donald Trump’s Republican running mate, according to a Quinnipiac poll. And it isn’t because NJ citizens want the governor to stick around and keep doing a great job fixing up New Jersey either.
72 percent of those polled said Trump shouldn’t pick Christie as his running mate. Seems they believe he’d be about as good a vice-president as he has been a governor, at least according to the poll that also showed voters giving Christie “abysmal job-approval numbers.” NJ voters disapprove of the job Christie’s doing 64-29 percent. Trump doesn’t need a traditional vice presidential candidate anyway, to do his dirty work and name-calling — something Christie is skilled in. Trump is a self-starter in that category.
