In the TV movie Love by Chance, Claire Michaels is a successful pastry chef who spends most of her time working at her new restaurant Gilded Sweets. She says she doesn’t have time to date until “by chance” she meets a charming doctor name Eric. Claire should be happy, right? Wrong. When she discovers that it was her mother Helen who set them up, Claire feels betrayed and puts an end to the promising romance. Ah, the power of a bitter mother/daughter relationship.
Claire is portrayed by Beau Garrett. She’s known for her roles on Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce (Phoebe), Glee (Charlie Darling), CSI: NY (Ali Rand), and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (Gina LaSalle), among others. Garrett is also recognized for her roles in the films Made of Honor (Gloria) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (Captain Raye). Love by Chance premieres on April 16 at 9pm on Hallmark. It will air again on April 23 at 7pm and April 24 at 11am.
