One week prior to The Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, two-time Masters champion golfer Bubba Watson reveals all his fears on 60 Minutes. He admits to having “a lot of mental issues…I’m just so fearful of things, which I shouldn’t be.” Those fears include crowds — the strangers who watch him on the golf course. Watson doesn’t trust many people. 60 Minutes interviews three people Watson does trust — his caddie Ted Scott, his financial advisor Randall Wells, and his wife Angie.
Bubba met his Canadian-born wife Angie Ball at the University of Georgia, where he played Division I Golf and she played on the women’s basketball team. Story goes they met during a pickup game of hoops at the college’s student center. She played professional ball in Europe before retiring due to knee injuries. She’s 6’4”, one inch taller than Bubba. They are the parents of two children, Caleb and Dakota. Angie also has a nice athletic swing (see below). 60 Minutes airs Sundays at 7pm on CBS.
