Cash Owens is the 10-year-old auctioneer from Minnesota who demonstrates his gift of the gab on Little Big Shots. He says it comes naturally to him; ever since he can remember he “just wanted to talk all the time.” Could be that the young man with the speedy tongue just has a special realization of how precious every breath is. Cash was born with improperly developed intestines. According to his father Dan Owens, as an infant Cash was resuscitated a dozen times before he was placed on a respirator. He spent two months early in his life in the hospital recovering from surgery.
“I just think he enjoys life more,” Dan Owens said. “I think he appreciates it because he was close to not having one.” Little Big Shots airs Sundays at 7pm and 8pm on NBC. Better listen fast.
