Sharon Bui and Kate Steadman pitched their sorority rush dress company Frill on Shark Tank in 2015. They made a deal with Barbara Corcoran and Kevin O’Leary ($100,000 investment for 30 percent equity). O’Leary pays the young women a visit in Raleigh, North Carolina and advises them on how to double their sales.

Will O’Leary approve of the new Frill “CrowdBuy” business strategy? CrowdBuy means anyone (not just a sorority) can buy Frill dresses individually – whether you’re already in a sorority or trying to get into one. Bui explains: “This platform will mean we or a sorority can post a bunch of dress designs and the dresses get paid for upfront, but will not get fulfilled if up to 5 women do not buy them. So 5 people have to purchase the dress style in order for the “crowdbuy” to get fulfilled.” Beyond the Tank on April 5, 10pm, ABC.
