The new Lifetime series 24 To Life interviews eight people who have been convicted of crimes and follows them on their final day of freedom before reporting to prison. In the series premiere episode “Greed and Desperation,” the former director of aviation and chief pilot for Berwind Corp., Kevin Boardman, is featured. He defrauded his employers, a family-owned business based in Philadelphia, to the tune of $2.7 million. Boardman submitted “false and inflated invoices” to Berwind for two companies that never provided services to the company. In March 2015, Boardman was sentenced to five years in prison.
Boardman is writing a blog in prison. He writes observations including “Black people take excellent care of their shoes, especially compared to how white people do” and “the best time to do is laundry is when everyone else is watching Love & Hip Hop on TV.” He also reported that he’s lost almost 50 pounds in 6 months. 24 To Life will premiere on Lifetime on April 12 at 10pm.
