In the Of Kings and Prophets premiere episode “Offerings of Blood”, King Saul (Ray Winstone) hopes to unify the 12 Israelite tribes against the Philistines by arranging a marriage for his daughter Merav (Jeanine Mason). During the wedding preparations, the handsome young shepherd David shows up at the King’s palace in hopes of settling his family’s debts.
David is portrayed by Oliver “Olly” Rix. If you live in London and are a fan of the Royal Shakespeare Company, you’ve seen him on stage. If not, you might recognize him for his role as Navas on the BBC series The Musketeers. Of Kings and Prophets airs Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC.
