Chris Rock was great, but one aspect of the Oscars was awful, Tina Fey told Howard Stern. Cause Marketing is one thing, but being lectured by celebs in gowns and tuxes was hard to take. Fey told Stern, “halfway through I was like this is some real Hollywood bullshit.” Did you ever think you’d miss Rob Lowe dancing with Snow White at the Oscars. But Rob Lowe was good entertainment compared to being harangued by Hollywood’s super rich preachers. At least Tina Fey didn’t like being yelled at by pretty people whose conspicuous consumption can match that of entire towns. (See drought shaming.)
Fey told Stern “Everyone’s telling me what to do, and people yelling at me about rape and corporate greed, but really it’s climate change. I was like, guys, pick a lane! Too much coming at me. You’re all rich, why are you yelling at me about corporate greed?”
