Hello Games announced it’ll release No Man’s Sky on June 21. Writing that No Man’s Sky features a “boundless, computer-generated universe” and calling it “vast, open” NMS team member Sean Murray stoked a crowd that’s been pretty fired up since Hello debuted a peek at the game last year at the E3 Expo. The team opened the game up to some in the media this week, prepping for the launch announcement. Reactions were extraordinary: at The Verge Bryan Bishop titled his article “I Found Inner Peace Playing No Man’s Sky.” Top that.
Maybe it was the communicating with aliens that brought players nirvana? It’s something players will be able to do, Murray revealed, as the game features ways to “learn alien languages.” How copacetic. Citing LittleBigPlanet as an inspiration, Murray says they built something so big it’s been a “hard one to demonstrate quickly.” Players will be happy to take their time.
