In the Season 6 finale of Love & Hip Hop, while Remy Ma gets married to Papoose, the man who stood by her side when she was sent to prison, Mendeecees Harris spends his last moments of freedom with his new wife Yandy Smith Harris. The episode is airing after Harris reported to a low security federal prison in Philadelphia. Harris, who was convicted for his involvement in a drug ring (heroin, cocaine) started his eight-year sentence in January.
Harris is at the Federal Correctional Institution named Allenwood Low, where there are approximately 1450 inmates. One of them is Nicholas Cosmo aka “Mini Madoff.” Cosmo is serving a 25-year sentence for stealing more than $365 million from investors during a five-year Ponzi scheme. Both New Yorkers, Cosmo and Harris share a love of the finer things including fast and fancy cars, jewelry, and designer clothing. Love & Hip Hop airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
