In the TV movie Surprised by Love, a young businesswoman named Josie Mayfield wants her parents to like her slick boyfriend Richard (Aaron Craven) but they don’t. Richard devises a plan to essentially trick her parents – by comparing him to Josie’s underachieving old high school boyfriend Gridley (Paul Campbell) – but the plan backfires. At Josie’s parents’ anniversary party, Josie realizes Gridley is really the guy for her not Richard.
Josie is portrayed by Hilarie Burton. The 33-year-old actress is best known for her roles on Extant (Anna Schaefer), Hostages (Samantha), Grey’s Anatomy (Dr. Lauren Boswell), White Collar (Sara Ellis), and One Tree Hill (Peyton). Burton is also recognized for her role in the 2008 film The Secret Life Of Bees
