Benjamin Stern, a 16-year-old environmentalist from Melbourne, Florida, is the inventor of Nohbo Ball, “the world’s first water-soluble, environmentally-friendly ball containing shampoo in a single-use amount.” Each ball is wrapped in a plant-based material which eliminates the need for plastic bottles. The Nohbo Ball is activitated by running water and friction. This isn’t a novelty item. Stern envisions Nohbo Balls replacing those millions of little shampoo and conditioner bottles in hotels worldwide.
