Kristi Ison is the entrepreneur behind Float Baby, a spa for babies in Houston, Texas. It’s a facility where babies (2 weeks to 6 months old) can float in water (they wear a donut-shaped floatie around their necks) and receive neonatal massages by professionals including Ison. She was inspired by a similar spa in the UK. She opened the first baby spa in the US — Float Baby — in May 2014. Now Ison wants to expand the business. She’ll pitch Float Baby on Shark Tank (February 12).

On Shark Tank, Ison will demonstrate how her clients float in a pool. She says, “Before they can roll over, they want to move and they’re not able to — they’re either in a carrier or being held — and so when we put them in the water and they experience that freedom, they really enjoy it.” So do the Sharks, who always chuckle at cute babies and double down on these floating ones. A one-hour group class costs $55. A four-class package costs $198. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
