The powerful Mexican singer Ariel Camacho was just 23 when he died in a car accident on February 25, 2015. The lead singer of Los Plebes del Rancho, he looked to have the world in the palm of his hand when fate swooped in and took him away from his fans.
Those same fans relived the heartbreak on the anniversary of Ariel’s passing. Ariel Camacho used one of his middle names as his first name in performing. He chose well: Ariel is a biblical name that means “Lion of God.” Fans honored Camacho after the tragic accident that took his life. First, they made the single “El Karma” No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin chart. And now, a year after Camacho’s death, Twitter alights with the hashtag #ArielCamachoParaSiempre. Ariel “Lion of God” Camacho lives forever — siempre — for his fans, in the literal and musical heavens.
