Andrew Ladd will wear the Chicago Blackhawks jersey again and it’s not just fans who are pumped about it. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville called the move a “great acquisition.” Quenneville said he knew Ladd’s old Chicago teammates were “pretty excited” and that Ladd is “excited to come to Chicago as well.” That’s excitement all around the Windy City.
Ladd wore the Blackhawks jersey back when he lifted the Stanley Cup for Chicago in 2010. Ladd got traded the next year to Atlanta, which eventually became the Winnipeg Jets. Returning, Ladd knows he has a precious chance to contend again for a title. Though 30 years old, Ladd had a record year at Winnipeg last season, playing 81 games and notching 62 points on 24 goals.
