On the TV special Superhuman, twelve people will compete for a grand prize of $100,000. What the contestants have to do is impress the host Kal Penn and a panel including boxer Mike Tyson, comedic actress Mary Lynn Rajskub and neurosurgeon Dr. Rahul Jandial with their extraordinary abilities – memory, hearing, taste, touch, smell and sight.

Kal Penn is best known as an actor in roles including Dr. Lawrence Kutner on House, M.D., Kevin on How I Met Your Mother, and as Kumar Patel in the Harold & Kumar films. Off camera, Penn worked off and on for years as an Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement, while also earning a graduate certificate in international security from Stanford University. You can see Penn next this spring in the Hulu TV series Deadbeat. It’s about a medium for hire who tries to resolve ghosts’ unresolved problems. Penn plays Clyde, a stoner entrepreneur who becomes the medium’s business partner. Superhuman airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
