The Rap Game on Lifetime features five young, aspiring rappers who are working with music mogul Jermaine Dupri in an intense eight-week boot camp. Set in Atlanta, the five kids (aged 12-16) are competing for a record contract with Dupri’s label So So Def, which launched the popular teen duo Kris Kross (Chris Kelly and Chris Smith) in the early 1990s.

One of the five contestants is Lil’ Niqo (born Niqoles Heard). The 15-year-old’s claim to fame is being the youngest rapper signed to Island Def Jams (when he was 10). Since then he’s been getting a lot of camera time working as a red carpet correspondent for BET and MTV. Supported by his mother/manager Nique, the California kid has also made his dramatic debut on the FOX TV series The Finder. The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
