In The X-Files episode “Founder’s Mutation,” FBI agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigate a scientist’s suspicious suicide. He stabbed himself to death by plunging a knife into his head. During their investigation, they meet a young man named Kyle who works as a janitor at a laboratory “where extreme genetic experimentation has bred subjects possessing dangerous powers.”
