Amazon usually sells its Amazon Prime subscription service for $99. From Friday, January 15 at 9pm PT until Sunday, January 17 at 11:59pm, it’s offering Amazon Prime for $73. Analysts suggest that Amazon’s original show Mozart in the Jungle, which just won two Golden Globes last weekend, had something to do with the discount. Whatever the case, Amazon is feeling generous. Amazon is letting people watch 30-minute episodes of Mozart in the Jungle for free this weekend, whether you subscribe or not.
Mozart in the Jungle is inspired by Upper West Side oboist Blair Tindall’s 2005 memoir, Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music, which is also available on Amazon — of course.
