Fending off claims from Hillary Clinton about his being in lockstep with the gun manufacturers is one thing, but Bernie Sanders will not countenance being heckled by former first daughter Chelsea Clinton on healthcare. The Stanford, Columbia and Oxford graduate who is campaigning actively for her mother has taken shots at Sanders’ healthcare proposals, saying Sanders wants to “dismantle Obamacare.” The younger Clinton also asserts that Sanders’ healthcare plan would give too much power to governors who can’t be trusted to uphold key parts of the program.
Sanders tried to diffuse the Chelsea criticism early with a simple and damning assertion of his own. “Much as I admire Chelsea,” Sanders said on CNN. “She didn’t read the plan.”
