Before Colette Lush starts signing for her audition on the 15th and final season of American Idol, she receives a compliment from judge Jennifer Lopez. “You have beautiful hair,” Lopez tells Lush, who blushes. Keith Urban follows that up by comparing the redhead to “I Dream of Jeannie.” Connick also chimes in, “I love red hair.” And yes, Colette’s last name really is Lush.
After all the hair talk, the 19-year-old nanny from Orange County, California then belts out a breathtaking version of “Who’s Loving You” by the Jackson 5. “I feel like Carrie Underwood just walked in here,” Lopez whispers to Urban as they listen to Colette Lush sing. American Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
