New York photographer James Ambler works with people who are ready to pop the big question. He helps clients to plan their proposals and he captures the moment like real paparazzi with his camera. Packages vary in price according to logistics. A New York City horse and carriage ride package costs $750. A Times Square big screen package goes for $1500. Ambler pitched his business, Paparazzi Proposals, on Shark Tank. He was looking for a $250k investment for 20 percent. His plan was to expand the service to other cities. Shark Tank investor Lori Greiner loved the business idea but didn’t think Ambler needed an investment to expand to other cities. But she did make him an offer. She and Kevin O’Leary (who sees Paparazzi Proposals as a nice fit with his HoneyFund business) offered Ambler $50k for a third of the company, with the option of a $200k loan if needed. On the show, Ambler accepts — but he ended up not signing the deal. Paparazzi Proposals is now offering packages in several cities including Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Minneapolis.
