Grammy-winner Drake will coach a celebrity team in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Toronto on All-Star weekend on Feburary 12. This year the game has a twist, the Canadian Drake (a “global ambassador” for the Toronto Raptors) will coach an all-Canadian celebrity team. Film star and comedian Kevin Hart will coach a USA team against Drake.
Drake’s strategy figures to be simple. And his assistant coaches, Toronto Blue Jays right fielder Jose Bautista and former NBA MVP Steve Nash will no doubt help him smooth it out. The strategy? Get the ball to 7-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady when points are necessary. McGrady only retired in 2013 and is probably still capable of scoring meaningful points in the real All-Star game. Then if McGrady decides to defer to Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, well, what can you do?
