Multi-talented actor, artist and activist Paul Blackthorne is in the gossip news because he may be dating Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco. But Blackthorne stands no chance of being known simply as Cuoco’s love interest, despite her fame — which is big enough to eclipse lesser lights. Blackthorne is a powerhouse.
Currently starring in Arrow as Captain Quentin Lance, the 46-year-old Brit is difficult to pigeonhole. He’s an accomplished photographer whose often breathtaking photos from around the world are shown in museums and galleries. Natch, he donates all profits from the sales of his photography work to Greenpeace, Scott Hampton Foundation, and Ocean Conservancy. (Can you hear Salt ‘N’ Pepa? “Whatta man whatta man whatta man, whatta mighty good man.”) Blacthorne is also a documentary filmmaker, with an acute eye and an ear for people’s real lives.
