In the Lifetime TV movie Becoming Santa, Holly (Laura Bell Bundy) brings her boyfriend Connor (Jesse Hutch) home for the holidays. Home is the North Pole for Holly. Connor is shocked to learn that Holly’s parents are Santa and Mrs. Claus. Once they announce their engagement, Santa works with Connor to see if he’s Santa material. Connor is now next in line to take over Santa’s job.

Mrs. Claus is portrayed by Meredith Baxter. She’s best known for her role as Elyse Keaton on the popular 1980s sitcom Family Ties. (Her husband on the show was portrayed by Michael Gross — who plays Santa in Becoming Santa!). Since Family Ties, Baxter has starred in several TV movies and has had recurring roles on TV shows including Cold Case (Ellen Rush), The Young and the Restless (Maureen Russell), and Finding Carter (Gammy). Baxter is a breast cancer survivor, a recovered alcoholic, and after announcing her divorce from actor David Birney, she came out as gay. Becoming Santa will premiere on Lifetime on December 12 at 8pm.
