ION Television is keeping up with Lifetime and Hallmark by making its own charmingly predictable Christmas romance TV movie, Merry Kissmas. The love triangle includes a pretty blonde named Kayla who falls for Dustin (Brant Daugherty) whom she meets and kisses in an elevator. (They were stuck. And it was magical.) However, Kayla is technically still dating her choreographer boyfriend who has been acting uncharacteristically very sweet lately. Kayla can’t decide between the two men.

Kayla is portrayed by Karissa Staples. The 28-year-old actress is best known for her roles on Lifetime’s The Lottery (Perry Sommers), USA’s Necessary Roughness with John Stamos (Paloma), and What’s Up Warthogs! (Victoria). Merry Kissmas will premiere on ION on December 5 at 9pm. It will air again on December 20 at 5pm and on Christmas Day, December 25, at 1pm.
