Marcin Gortat shot 10-of-15 from the floor and John Wall had 13 assists and 22 points as the Wizards beat the Nets for their fourth straight, 111-96. Washington shot better than 50 percent from the floor as a team, and rookie Jarell Eddie — called up from the D league just this week — made his debut by scoring 12 points on four three-pointers in the 4th quarter.
The Wizards, expected to go deep in the playoffs as the season began, have struggled with chemistry and injuries. But they have bounced back after a trouncing in Toronto to look more like their former selves. Otto Porter, last year’s surprise contributor to the Wizards playoff run, returned from injury and played 19 minutes, scoring seven and getting two steals. The Wizards, still without guard Gary Neal, dished 32 assists. The Wizards rose to 14-14.
