Spanish retail superstar Zara marries sophistication and bargain faster — and way more conclusively — than Elizabeth Taylor married husbands. The fast fashion mega brand run by billionaire Amancio Ortega is usually the quickest turnaround shop on the planet, getting fashion that feels au courant contemporary into the eager arms of fashionistas in a blink. The Zara brand is so comfortable with its unique retail identity it didn’t even bother opening late on Thanksgiving Day as so many of its competitors did. In fact Zara didn’t begin Black Friday until 6am on Friday itself, pretty lax opening hours for the busiest shopping day of they year.
It could also be because Zara focuses on its Cyber Monday sales, listing much of its merchandise at a mouth-watering 50% off. That means items that look runway fresh and are already selling for $50-and-under get their prices cut in half. Zara also makes delivery free. Not only that, free returns too.
