In the Lifetime TV movie A Mother Betrayed, Kevin appears like a knight in shining armor in the life of successful architect Monica (Lynn Collins). After losing her husband Jonathan in a tragic car accident, Monica never thought she would find love again, or another father figure for her daughter, Maddie. But she does in Kevin. They get married and at Kevin’s suggestion, he adopts Maddie. But once the paperwork is signed, Monica starts to experience headaches and memory lapses. Her friend Lisa (Bree Williamson) suggests she see a doctor to get a prescription. (Lisa is not much of a friend, it turns out.) Before she knows it, Monica is committed to a mental hospital and all of Monica’s money is about to be turned over to Kevin.

Kevin is portrayed by Adam Kaufman. He’s best known for his roles on State of Affairs (Lucas Newsome), NCIS (Homicide Detective Philip McCadden), Melrose Place (Toby), Without a Trace (Brian Donovan), the Steven Spielberg-produced mini-series Taken (Charlie Keys), Dawson’s Creek (Ethan), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Parker Adams). P.S. Kaufman has a son, Jackson Montgomery Kaufman, with ex-girlfriend Poppy Montgomery (Unforgettable, Without a Trace). A Mother Betrayed will premiere on Lifetime on November 15 at 9pm. It will air again on November 16 at 1am.
