On the Blue Bloods episode “Hold Outs,” a homicide case that ends in a hung jury is reassigned to Erin Reagan-Boyle (Bridget Moynahan). It’s particularly awkward as Erin is forced to take over the case from her coworker ADA Kelly Blake (Diane Neal). A missing witness is crucial to the case so Erin turns to DA investigator Anthony Abetemarco for help.
Anthony Abetemarco is portrayed by Steve Schirripa. The Bensonhurst, Brooklyn native is best known for his roles on The Sopranos (Bobby “Bacala” Baccalieri), The Secret Life of the American Teenager (Leo Boykewich), and in the Clint Eastwood film Jersey Boys (Vito). Fun fact about Schirripa: He’s the author of five books including, Big Daddy’s Rules: Raising Daughters Is Tougher Than I Look and A Goomba’s Guide to Life. Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10pm on CBS.
