With a dominating performance against the Florida Gators in Gainesville, the Florida State Seminoles busted the Top Ten glass ceiling and moved to No. 9 in the Amway Coaches Poll. A smothering defensive effort led FSU as the team coasted to a 27-2 victory over a Gators squad that was ranked No. 10 in the AP poll coming into the game.
The Coaches Poll takes results from a random pool of head coaches at FBS colleges. The top four in the Coaches Poll is expected to mirror the top four in the AP when its announced. The coaches have chosen Clemson, Alabama, Iowa and surging Oklahoma at new No. 4. Florida dropped back to No. 15.
