Noam and Irene Krasniansky are the creators of Bambooee, the Un-Paper Towel. After learning that only 7 percent of the Brazilian rainforest was still intact, they decided to stop using paper towels in their kitchen. But they needed an alternative. It took two years but the Krasnianskys found a way to make Bambooee, which is made of rayon made from an organic bamboo source. When the bamboo is harvested, it regrows every year. (Trees do not regrow once harvested.)

Each roll of Bambooee has 20 sheets. Each sheet can be washed up to 100 times. And a roll of Bambooee is perforated so it’s easy to use with regular paper towel dispensers. Two rolls of Bambooee sells for $20.99 (free shipping) on the company website. The Krasnianskys pitched their business on Shark Tank and made a deal with Lori Greiner. (It sold out on QVC.) Bambooee is now available on Amazon (see link above), and Staples.
