There’s going to be an epic shootout on The Blacklist. In the episode “Antioch Cain,’ Red (James Spader) and former FBI agent Liz Keen (Megan Boone) are hiding out in a hangar when they’re discovered and surrounded. In the trailer, Red tells Liz there’s no use, to drop her gun. If you believe Red would ever sincerely tell Liz to drop her gun, then you don’t know Red! After the bodies fall, Red calls his friend “Mr. Kaplan” whom he occasionally refers to as Kate to clean up the dead bodies he and Liz leave behind.

Mr. Kaplan is portrayed by Susan Blommaert. She’s best known for her roles on Law & Order (Judge Rebecca Steinman), The Practice (Judge Rudy Fox), and, yes, another judge on Family Law (Judge Barbara Burke). Blommaert is also recognized for her roles in the films Edward Scissorhands, Doubt, and United 93. The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
