Toriano Adaryll “Tito” Jackson was one of the original members of The Jackson 5. Tito got married young, at the age of 18, in 1972 to Delores “Dee Dee” Martes. They had three sons — Taj, Taryll, and TJ. After 21 years of marriage, Tito and Dee Dee divorced in 1993. One year later, Dee Dee was found dead in a swimming pool. Her death was originally ruled accidental but in 1998 her boyfriend of three months, Donald Bohana, a Denny’s restaurant franchise owner who had recently filed for bankruptcy, was found guilty of second-degree murder. Dee Dee, who didn’t know how to swim, was allegedly beaten and choked before being put in the pool. Bohana was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
Dee Dee’s sons were in their early twenties when their mother was murdered. Taj is the eldest, he’s now 42. Taryll is now 40. And TJ (Tito Joe Jackson) is 37, the father of four children. Taryll has two. Together Tito’s sons perform music as 3T. They will be featured in the Lifetime show The Jacksons: Next Generation on Fridays at 10pm.
