A Brookie is a baked good hybrid — half brownie, half cookie. Three friends in Los Angeles are building a whole business around the Brookie called Milk + Brookies. They hand make a variety of Brookie flavors including peanut butter, snickerdoodle, red velvet and maple bacon. They’re served in a cute cupcake sleeve.

Here’s the catch: They’re only available in Los Angeles and sold by the dozen, half dozen or two dozen (minis only). If you don’t live in Culver City, California (where you can pick up your orders), you can order on the Milk + Brookies website. But it isn’t build for immediate gratification. An online customer needs to allow 24 hours for the order to process, and standing shipping takes 7-10 days! Are you willing to wait almost two weeks for a dozen of peanut butter Brookies that cost $24? There are other companies making “cookie brownies.” Granted, they’re not homemade but they are cheaper and easy to order on Amazon. It’s a world of delicious choices out there. Maybe get those while you wait for your Brookies.
