Percy Robert Miller aka rapper Master P came to fame in the late 1990s with his hip-hop group TRU. He went on to launch a successful solo career with albums Ice Cream Man, Ghetto D, and MP Da Last Don. He also founded the record label No Limit Records which eventually became No Limit Forever Records. In 2013, Forbes estimated Master P’s net worth at close to $350 million, which ranked him the third richest hip-hop artist at the time. (Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z were on top.)

Master P will be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey on her show (October 10), Where Are They Now? He’ll talk about what it was like growing up poor in the projects in New Orleans and his latest project, his family reality TV show on Reelz, Master P’s Family Empire. The show, which will premiere in November, will feature Master P and his children Mercy, Hercy, Cymphonique, Veno and Lil Romeo. Master P says his show will be “positive entertainment” as opposed to Keeping Up With Kardashians. You can be the judge of that (see trailer below). Oprah: Where Are They Now airs Saturdays at 10pm on OWN.
