In the new TV thriller Quantico, there’s a possible sleeper agent among the new recruits at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. The woman in charge of the training academy is Director Miranda Shaw. She needs to find out who the sleeper agent is before he or she plots a terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
Shaw is portrayed by Aunjanue Ellis. She’s best known for her roles in The Book of Negroes (Aminata Diallo), NCIS: Los Angeles (Michelle Hanna), The Mentalist (Madeleine Hightower), True Blood (Diane), Justice (Miranda Lee), and The Practice (Sharon Young). The Brown University grad also appeared in the films Men of Honor (2000), Undercover Brother (2002), Ray (2004), and The Help (2011). Quantico airs Sundays at 10pm on ABC.
