On the new TV comedy Life In Pieces, Colin Hanks plays one of the three adult children of the Short family. The parents, John and Joan Short, are portrayed by James Brolin and two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest. Each one-hour episode tells four short stories. In the pilot we see Greg Short (Hanks) with his wife Jen in the hospital. Jen is giving birth to their first child. When they bring the baby home, they are overwhelmed but well-equipped with humor.
Jen is portrayed by the hilarious Zoe Lister Jones. She’s best known for her roles as Fawn Moscato on New Girl, Kate on Friends with Better Lives, and Lily on Whitney. Life in Pieces will premiere on Monday, September 21 at 8:30pm. P.S. In November, the show will move to Thursdays (8:30, CBS).
