In the TV movie Child of Grace, an adorable 9-year-old girl named Katie lives in a beat-up RV with her father. Or at least that’s who she thinks he is. When she sees a picture of herself on a missing child poster, she questions his identity…and hers. Katie turns to a small-town sheriff and her grandfather to figure out the truth of her disappearance.
Katie is portrayed by Maggie Elizabeth Jones (Matt Damon’s daughter in We Bought a Zoo). The father figure John is portrayed by Tom Hildreth, who is one of the producers of Child of Grace, which is based on the novel June Bug by evangelical fiction author Chris Fabry. Fabry describes the story as a “modern interpretation of Les Miserables.” As an actor, Hildreth has appeared on several TV shows including Dharma & Greg, The Bold and the Beautiful, 24, and Numb3rs. Child of Grace will premiere on LMN on September 27 at 8pm.
