Ungodly Acts is a Lifetime TV movie based on the real life and death of 27-year-old Bethany Deaton. Her death was first thought a suicide but was investigated as a homicide after her friend, Micah Moore, who belonged to the same religious group, confessed to killing her. Micah said Bethany’s husband, Tyler Deaton, the leader of the religious group, told him to kill Bethany. Tyler denied have anything to with the death of his wife. Tyler was never accused in the death of Bethany but then more of his members/followers came forward with details regarding Tyler’s charismatic power over people and the secret life he led which included homosexual relationships.

In the Lifetime movie, Bethany is ‘Melissa’ who is portrayed by Megan Park. Tyler is ‘Daniel’ who is portrayed by Brant Daugherty. The 30-year-old actor is best known for his roles in Pretty Little Liars (Noel Kahn), Army Wives (Patrick Clarke), and Days of Our Lives (Brian). Ungodly Acts will premiere on Lifetime on September 19 at 8pm. It will air again on September 20 at 12am and 3pm.
