Spanish striker Diego Costa did more than his share for Chelsea against Arsenal. Getting under another player’s skin is one thing — some guys make a living doing that — but getting them to lash out so that the red card flies, that’s devious (and effective). Costa taunted Arsenal until not one, but two players got the boot: Gabriel Paulista and Santi Cazorla.
It happened just before the half, which was played to a 0-0 draw, but then Arsenal wore down 9-man Chelsea for a 2-0 win. Soccer fan and newsman (and apparent church goer) Piers Morgan called provocateur Costa a filthy cheat.
Going to church now for my cousin’s wedding. Will pray for Diego Costa’s sins, the filthy cheat.
