Draymond Green is both hungry for more success and increasingly comfortable after three tremendous years in the NBA. Fresh of a big new contract and an NBA title, the Golden State Warriors forward is confident enough to be candid. Talking on the Freddie Coleman Show (ESPN radio) recently, Green was opining on NBA trash talkers when Kevin Durant came up.
Of Durant, the 2014 NBA MVP, Green said they’d had their battles. But it’s a tough match-up every time for Green, which he freely admits. Because Durant’s so good. “KD makes you feel bad about yourself that you ever talked trash,” Green says. Verbal sparring is fun during the heat of competition, but “when he [Durant] end up with 53 it ain’t much you could say back at that point,” Green confesses.
