The premise of the Hallmark TV movie Lead With Your Heart is a familiar one. Ben and Maura have been married for years but find themselves spending more time apart due to work. What’s different about it is that their two teenage kids care about the state of their parents’ marriage, particularly as they’re about to become empty-nesters. The kids come up with a scheme to help their parents realize how much they still need each other.

Kari Matchett stars as Maura. William Baldwin stars as Ben. (He’s also the executive producer.) Baldwin is one of the four acting Baldwin brothers (Alec, Daniel, Stephen) from Massapequa, Long Island. William is known for roles in films (Backdraft, Flatliners, Fair Game with Cindy Crawford, and Sliver with Share Stone) and for his recent TV roles on Parenthood (Gordon Flint), Gossip Girl (William van der Woodsen), and Dirty Sexy Money (Patrick Darling). He lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, singer Chynna Phillips (Wilson Phillips) and their three children, Jameson, Vance and Brooke. Lead With Your Heart will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on August 29 at 9pm.
